Our household loves this healthy, savoury snack. It satisfies the crunch cravings while providing a good source of dietary fibre and protein! You can always change the spices to suit your taste.

Ingredients:

1.5 cups of chickpeas (cooked from dried, or canned) drained and dried

¼ tsp cumin

¼ tsp chili powder

¼ tsp sea salt

1/8 tsp garlic powder

Dash of cayenne pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°.
  2. Make sure your chickpeas, whether from the can or cooked from dry are as dry as possible. I dry mine with a clean tea towel.
  3. Bake dried chickpeas on a cookie sheet for 30-45 minutes. Make sure to check after 30 minutes. You don’t want to burn them. When they are golden and crispy they are finished!
  4. Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Toss cooled chickpeas in the bowl. Enjoy!
